Ron: "It's not much, but it's home."
Harry: "I think it's brilliant."

This is me trying to get some very much needed lanscape practice. It was a whole lot of fun. And of course antoher Harry Potter fanart piece wouldn't hurt anyone (and I have a few more coming, if all goes well).

I was inspired to do this about a month ago when I visited Manningtree and Flatford (wallking in the footsteps of Constable) and was just awestruck by the colours of that place. Hated coming back to the dreary city that is Singapore after that.

I tried my best to capture the colours that I remember. I didn't use any specific references, which is rare for me and caused a bit of a struggle. I still want to improve much much more, so your honest feedback would be very much appreciated :)

Hope you guys like this. Took much longer than I intended, but I'm pretty happy with the final product.

I saw your piece in the Critique requested section of and it really caught my eye I really like the color pallet you have selected, a very nice use of a primary color scheme The setting is nice and sets a good mood. There is only one thing that I can see that flattens the image and takes away from the depth of the piece. There is a tangency; The boot lines up with the mountains in the background. If you were to move the mountains up or down just a little bit, or move the boot so it does not line up with the mountain ridge it would pop a lot more. Overall I think this is a wonderful piece with a very pleasing setting
